A New Zealand man is $1 million richer thanks to karma and a little patience.

The lucky man, who wished to remain anonymous, was waiting in line at the Pak-N-Save in Papamoa to buy lotto tickets. While he was waiting, an impatient customer cut him in the line.

"I wasn't in any hurry, so I just let them go ahead and didn't say anything. I guess good karma pays off," he told the New Zealand Herald.

Turns out he was given the $1 million ticket.

He told the paper he's not sure what he's going to do with the winnings but that he and his wife are thrilled at their good fortune.

And that patience truly is a virtue.
