Man, 40, shot and killed inside Brooklyn building elevator: police

EAST FLATBUSH, Brooklyn – Police say a man is dead after he was shot several times inside a Brooklyn building’s elevator early Tuesday.

The NYPD said officers responded to a 911 call of a man shot inside 100 E. 93rd St. at about 12:37 a.m. When they arrived, police found a 40-year-old man with gunshot wounds to the chest, left arm and left leg inside of the elevator on the second floor.

EMS responded and rushed him to a local hospital, where the victim was pronounced dead, police said.

The identity of the victim has not been released yet to the public.
