Man, 31, fatally shot in Cypress Hills housing project in Brooklyn: NYPD

EAST NEW YORK, Brooklyn — A 31-year-old man was found shot to death in the lobby of a Cypress Hills housing project building, officials said.

Officers responded to a 911 call around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday that a man was shot in the Cypress Hills Houses in the East New York neighborhood, police said.

Police found 31-year-old Tyrone Stewart, a Cypress Hills resident, in the lobby of the building, located at 1230 Sutter Ave., with multiple gunshot wounds to his body, according to the NYPD.

Stewart was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

No one has been arrested in connection with his death, officials said.
