THE BRONX — The Major Deegan Expressway in the Bronx has reopened after being shut down for a short time Wednesday due to a pressure cooker being found on a roadway under the overpass, police say.

The pressure cooker was found around 5:30 p.m. at East134th Street and Alexander Avenue.

It was cleared just before 7:30 p.m.
