Construction worker dies in fall from midtown high-rise: source

MIDTOWN, Manhattan — A 52-year-old fell to his death Thursday from a high-rise in midtown, police said.

A police source told PIX11 News the man was a construction worker.

He fell from the roof — the 46th floor — of a building on 52nd Street and onto the second floor of an adjacent building on the Avenue of the Americans, according to a police source.

The fall happened at 135 West 52nd St., the address of a condominium, according to the city’s Department of Buildings.

The man was pronounced dead on the scene, according to the FDNY. Police are not releasing the man’s identity until family has been notified.
