Video shows man connected to LIC store burglary

LONG ISLAND CITY, Queens — Police are asking for the public's assistance Monday to locate a man they believe is connected to a burglary that occurred in Long Island City on Aug. 29.

The man allegedly broke the glass door of the MDS Corp. store located at 32-02 Queens Blvd. between 9 and 10 p.m. that day.

Police said he then took approximately $200 from the cash register, along with 52 cartons of cigarettes and 59 scratch-off lottery tickets.

He is described as having a beard and was last seen wearing a dark colored T-shirt, dark colored shorts, black socks and dark colored sneakers and carrying a red and black backpack.

He can be clearly seen in surveillance photos and video obtained by police and released to the public.
