CONCOURSE, the Bronx — Surveillance video shows a man snatching the chains off a victim's neck in a Bronx park, and police need the public's help in nabbing the suspect.

On Saturday afternoon, the man was walking near East 165 Street and Jerome Avenue when he allegedly approached the victim from behind and ripped two gold chains from around his neck.

Police said he then ran east on 165 Street.

The man is described as between 20 and 25 years old, 6-feet tall and weighing about 185 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black and white T-shirt, a light-colored baseball cap and dark-colored shorts.
