High-speed police chase spanning 2 boroughs ends in 3 arrests

DYKER HEIGHTS, Brooklyn — A police chase that ended with three arrests in Brooklyn left a trail of broken car parts and shattered glass across two boroughs.

Police received a call that a 20-year-old woman was reportedly trapped in a car with three men, leading to the police chase when the vehicle refused to pull over, authorities said.

Starting in Staten Island, the pursuit continued across the Verrazano Bridge into Brooklyn. A Brooklyn produce shop caught the end of the chase, in which the fleeing car rams into another car at the intersection of 56th Street and Hamilton Parkway.

Police made three arrests following the chase early Friday morning following an hourslong chase of two of the suspects. No charges have been filed yet, according to NYPD.
