Social media reacts to Apple’s wireless AirPods

NEW YORK — As with any new Apple product launch, or really any radical change in the world, social media users have already voiced their disappointment and spoken out about one of Apple’s newest products, revealed Wednesday: AirPods.

With the release of the iPhone 7, Apple ditched the traditional headphone set and headphone jack in favor of the AirPods, which are wireless earbuds that automatically connect to your Apple devices and have a 24 hour battery life.

Sounds good, right? For many folks on the internet, it’s not. The AirPods seem too easy to lose, and many users are sarcastically saying they have “already lost” the AirPods.

Many people think that the small size of the product will make them a particularly risky investment, and others fondly remember the headphone jack:

Time will tell how iPhone users adapt to the wireless earbuds. AirPods will officially be available in late October.
