Video shows man connected to Queens laundromat robberies

FAR ROCKAWAY, Queens — Police are asking for the public's help Wednesday in locating a man whom they believe is connected to two robberies inside of a Far Rockaway laundromat.

On July 28, the man allegedly entered the Laundry Land laundromat at 32-25 Beach Channel Dr. with one other person. They approached a victim with a silver handgun and demanded money from her. They then forcibly removed $320 from the victim before running from the laundromat, police said.

No injuries were reported.

Then on Sept. 3 at 3 a.m., the man then again went into the same Laundry Land location and allegedly approached another victim and demanded money while displaying a silver gun. He then forcibly took $200 from the victim before running out of the laundromat, according to police. No injuries were reported.

The man can be seen in the surveillance video above which was obtained by police and released to the public. This video is from the second incident on Sept. 3.

He is described as being 6-feet tall and weighing 220 pounds. He had close cut black hair at the time of the incident and was last seen wearing gray shorts, a black belt, a gray T-shirt around his neck and white sneakers.
