The student told St. John’s public safety officers that he was walking alone heading east on Kildare Rd. near Dumfries Pl. when he heard a loud noise behind him.
He said he turned to walk back toward his friends who were a block away when a man approached him and stabbed him once with an unknown object before running away, according to a St. John’s student safety advisory email.
The man is described as being in his 20s.
The student was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.
