NEW YORK — Donald Trump tweeted Tuesday night that he will meet with Mexico’s president Wednesday.
The meeting with President Enrique Pena Nieto comes ahead of his trip to Arizona where he is expected to make a major announcement on immigration.
Illegal immigration has been a top issue for Trump’s presidential campaign.
The billionaire has discussed building a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border if he wins the race against Hillary Clinton.
Trump recently suggested he could soften the hardline positions he's taken during the Republican primaries.
Pena Nieto extended an invitation last week to Trump and Clinton.
