Shooting in Canarsie leaves one dead: NYPD

CANARSIE, Brooklyn — A man was fatally shot early Sunday morning in the Canarsie section of Brooklyn.

Police responded to a call around 2 a.m. of an injured man near E. 95th St. and Conklin Avenue.

When they arrived, they found a man with several gunshot wounds. He was unconscious and unresponsive, police said.

EMS workers responded and took the man to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made. Police are conducting an investigation.

The man’s name is currently withheld pending family notification.
