Bronx double shooting leaves teen dead, man wounded: police

CLAREMONT VILLAGE, Bronx – Police said a teenager was killed in a double shooting on a Bronx street Wednesday night. The second victim is expected to survive.

The shooting happened on College Avenue after 9 p.m., police said.

Upon arrival, officers found a 17-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to the chest and 21-year-old man who took a bullet to the stomach. They were taken to a local hospital, where the younger victim was pronounced dead. The other victim is in critical but stable condition.

The slain victim was identified as Dontay Gordon of the Bronx.

The investigation is ongoing.
