Man wanted for slashing 55-year-old in neck in SoHo

SOHO, Manhattan — Police are looking for a man who slashed another 55-year-old man in the neck in SoHo early Friday morning.

The suspect approached the man on the corner of Canal Street and West Broadway around 3 a.m. and slashed him in the neck with an unknown object, according to police.

He was taken to the hospital in stable condition. He suffered a slash wound to the left side of his neck.

The suspect was wearing a yellow winter jacket, white T-shirt with black lettering, dark pants and a large backpack at the time of the incident.
