HARLEM, Manhattan – A man was fatally shot in front of his Harlem apartment late Thursday night, police said.

The NYPD said officers responded to a 911 call of a man shot at 106 W 139th St.

The victim, identified as Gerard Woodley, was found with a gunshot wound to the head, police said.

EMS took Woodley to Harlem Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said Woodley has a criminal history and was on parole at the time of the shooting.

There are no arrests at this time.
