NEWARK, N.J. — A man who stole a cancer donation box was arrested Saturday after police received a call from his boss.

Daniel Santos, 23, is accused of stealing a cancer donation box from a Ferry Street bakery on June 8. On Saturday morning, the owner of a business called police saying Santos worked at his store. He told police he and the workers recognized Santos when they saw his picture in the news recently.

Police went to the store shortly before 7:30 a.m. and arrested Santos later that morning. He was charged with theft.
