NEW YORK — If you haven't logged in to your Ticketmaster account recently, you probably should to check if you have vouchers and codes.
That's right, free tickets and discount codes.
Last month, Ticketmaster settled the Schlesinger v. Ticketmaster class action lawsuit. The suit affected about 50 million people — anyone who bought tickets on the site between Oct. 21, 1999 and Feb. 27 2013. The suit accused Ticketmaster for overcharging customers with fees.
Anyone who fell into the "class period" received an email with the subject line: "Schlesinger v. Ticketmaster Class Action Settlement — Notice Regarding Discount and Ticket Codes."
The email explained how to redeem your discount codes and free tickets. Here's how you can check:
- Log on to your Ticketmaster account
- On the side bar, click on "Active Vouchers"
There, you will see if you were the select lucky ones to score some free tickets. People can redeem up to 17 discount codes for tickets( each $2.25) and UPS (each $5), as well as free tickets to a select list of events. You can redeem two free tickets with each ticket code.
Anyone who was eligible for any of these codes received them starting Saturday.
