It's still between three and five years away, but get ready for friendlier and better travel to and from LaGuardia Airport.

Officials from the Port Authority, the state, airlines, and development groups held a groundbreaking near the first phase construction site.

Governor Cuomo has made this project a priority. Information and renderings are available here. Governor Cuomo described the better transportation access, including improving the Q70 bus route to the airport from the 7 train and an "AirTrain to LIRR" at Willets Point, Queens.

The Governor says this is a new approach to get New York back in the game. The facilities are being built through a new public-private partnership.
