Staten Island baby’s death deemed a homicide nearly 1 year after she died
ST. GEORGE, Staten Island — Nine months after a 3-month-old girl died after being found unconscious in a Staten Island home, a medical examiner has determined her death was a homicide, police said Monday.
Morgan Ricks was found unconscious and unresponsive around 2 a.m. on Aug. 30, 2015, after police responded to 81 Jersey Street, according to the NYPD.
EMS transported Ricks to Richmond University Medical Center in critical condition, and on Sept. 11 she “succumbed to her injuries,” police said.
A description of her injuries was not provided.
A medical examiner determined on June 3 that the baby’s death was a homicide.
No arrests have been made.
