Man fatally shot through Bronx apartment door: police

FORDHAM HEIGHTS, Bronx – Police said a gunman killed a man by firing bullets through his apartment door.

The shooting happened around 8:45 p.m. at 2241 Creston Ave. in Fordham Heights sections of the Bronx.

Upon arrival, police found 35-year-old Ahart Rashaun with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest. They believe at least 14 shots were fired through the door.

EMS took him to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The NYPD said the victim has a criminal history and the shooting does not appear to be random but have no motive for it.

There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
