Islanders eliminated from Stanley Cup playoffs after 4-0 loss to Lightning

NEW YORK — The New York Islanders were eliminated from the Stanley Cup playoffs Sunday after losing to the Tampa Bay Lightning 4-0.

The Lightning advanced to the Eastern Conference final of the Stanley Cup playoffs in Game 5.

Victor Hedman scored twice for the Lightning and Ben Bishop stopped 28 shots.

After losing the opening game, Tampa Bay roared back to win the next three.

The Lightning will either face the Pittsburgh Penguins or the Washington Capitals in the East final. The Penguins currently lead the series 3-2. The teams will face off in Pittsburgh Tuesday for Game 6.
