White powder found in Trump Tower mailroom; 6 being evaluated: officials

MIDTOWN, Manhattan -- Suspicious white powder was found inside an envelope addressed to Donald Trump at Trump Tower Thursday night, officials confirm.

The powder was discovered around 8:05 p.m. inside the mailroom. The powder was discovered when an intern opened the letter.

Security in the building re-sealed the envelope and notified the police.

Five civilians and one police officer were evaluated as a precaution. No injuries have been reported.

The incident under investigation.
