RIDGEWOOD, Queens — Police are searching for a man who sexually assaulted two women on separate occasions Saturday.

A 20-year-old woman was walking home on Woodward Avenue around 1:40 a.m. when the suspect snuck up from behind and pushed her to the ground, police said. He then groped her vagina and fled the scene with none of her personal belongings.

A few minutes later, the suspect attacked another 25-year-old woman on Harman Street. He approached her from behind and clutched her neck, police said. The suspect tried to shove his hands down her pants, then stole her purse before fleeing the scene.

Police located the suspect in surveillance footage from the first assault on Woodward Avenue.
