HELL’S KITCHEN — A pair of NYPD officers were hurt by a driver who slammed on the gas while they were writing her a ticket, authorities said Thursday.

It began about 11 a.m. Officers stopped a driver at 58th Street and Eighth Avenue. It was not immediately known why they pulled over the driver.

While one officer was writing the driver a summons, she drove off, striking the officer who suffered injuries to their shin.

A pursuit ensued and the driver was ultimately captured on 50th Street and 10th Avenue, police said. She was taken into custody and charges are pending.

One officer was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, officials said. The other was hurt but did not go to the hospital.
