NEW YORK — VH1’s “Mob Wives” Angela “Big Ang” Raiola continues to battle cancer in the hospital despite online rumors she died Wednesday night.

A tweet posted to her official Twitter account dispelled rumors that the 55-year-old died.

“Angela is still in the hospital surrounded by her loved ones, and is fighting,” the statement said.

The “Mob Wives” matriarch began chemotherapy in early January for stage 4 brain and lung cancer. Weeks later, a doctor’s prognosis showed that chemotherapy wasn’t working.

Big Ang appeared on “The Dr. Oz Show” Tuesday to her hopes and depression as she battles cancer.

It’s destroying me,” Raiola admitted, “Instead of it getting better it’s getting worse.”

"Mob Wives" follows a group of Staten Island women and their families. The cast members, who usually live tweet during episodes of the show, were silent Wednesday night.
