The matriarch of VH1's show "Mob Wives" was taken into the emergency room where she had trouble breathing and was in severe pain, according to the GoFundMe page set up by her sister Janine Detore Tuesday afternoon.

Big Ang, who was diagnosed with Stage 4 brain and lung cancer, started chemotherapy in early January but found out in a doctor's prognosis on January 26 that it was not working, the page stated. She instead discovered one of the tumors grew larger and the others showed no change, and that she would have to start immunotherapy soon.

Seeing as the reality TV star was suffering through an insurmountable amount of pain, it prompted the family to venture into alternative medicine options.

The fundraiser page is asking for $25,000 to help the family buy cannabis oil, which Detore claims will make her "be pain free."

There has been no update on her condition.

"Mob Wives" follows a group of Staten Island women after their family members and friends were imprisoned for crimes related to the mafia.
