Cops seek five individuals in Bronx robbery, assault

THE BRONX – A group of men jumped a man and then robbed him of his cellphone and wallet before running away in December, NYPD said.

On the morning of December 6, five individuals approached the victim and attacked him after a brief dispute at 140 W 174th St, cops said. The victim was knocked down to the ground and was punched, kicked several times before his attackers split up and fled.

During the melee, the alleged thieves, who all appear to be between 18 to 23 years old with medium builds, took his personal belongings including $20 and a credit card, according to authorities.

Cops said the first individual was donning a a black and white hooded sweater and dark pants. The second alleged culprit was last seen wearing a red and white “Adidas” jacket, a dark colored hooded sweater and a red baseball cap. The third purported robber wore a gray hooded sweater, dark colored jacket and pants. Police said the fourth individual had his hair in two buns, last seen sporting a dark colored jacket and a multi-colored shirt. The remaining individual, who looks to be a few inches shorter than his accomplices, was wearing a light blue wool cap, a brown jacket and dark-colored pants, according to cops.

Police released photos of these men in hopes the public can help find identify them.
