NEWARK, N.J. – With several hundred feet of snow - piled four feet high in some spots – Dave and his neighbors say Astor Street in Newark might as well be a parking lot, or a dead end block.

This unplowed street, one of many in Newark, still not passable, following this weekend’s storm made traffic an absolute nightmare Tuesday evening elsewhere in the city.

In the heart of downtown Newark, at the major intersection of Broad and Market streets, it was chaos as the city continued its efforts to get the streets plowed before schools reopen Wednesday morning.

Frustrated bus passengers were left wondering how they would ever get home.
