Car fire at LaGuardia sends smoke billowing over airport

QUEENS – A Queens fire sent clouds of black smoke billowing over LaGuardia airport Monday.

The blaze started on the lower level of Terminal C when a car caught fire, according to Port Authority spokesman Joseph Pentangelo.

Firefighters were able to extinguish around 11:30 a.m.

No injuries were reported.
