Service resumes on Metro-North Hudson Line after teen fatally struck by train

SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y.– Trains along the Metro-North Hudson Line are running normally after a teenager was fatally struck by a train Monday afternoon.

MTA police say a male teen was fatally struck just after 2 p.m. near the Philipse Manor Station in Sleepy Hollow.

Metro-North trains experienced delays of up to 20 minutes on the line. By the evening rush hour, the train service was running on time.

Details surrounding the teen’s death are unknown at this time.

A police investigation is ongoing.
