OZONE PARK, Queens — The FBI and the NYPD are trying to track down an armed couple who carried out a modern-day "Bonnie and Clyde" robbery in Queens Thursday night.
Authorities say at about 7:50 p.m. Thursday, a man and a woman with black guns entered a TD Bank on Rockaway Boulevard. One of the thieves went behind the teller station and removed an undetermined amount of money from the drawers, according to police.
The two robbers then fled the scene. Nobody was hurt.
"No two days are ever the same," Bratton said at an NYPD-FBI joint press conference on Friday. "Here's our newer version of Bonnie and Clyde."
Cops released surveillance photos of the culprits.
