It's been 10 years since the transit workers went on strike leaving millions of New Yorkers stranded.

Thousands of straphangers walked over the Brooklyn Bridge to get to and from work.

On the morning of December 22, 2005 NYC firefighter Matt Long was riding his bike into work when he was struck and nearly killed by a private bus making an illegal turn.

The tragic accident changed Matt's life.
