UPPER EAST SIDE, Manhattan — Firefighters have closed a portion of First Avenue after bricks fell from a high-rise building facade on the Upper East Side.

The FDNY says around 100 feet of bricks fell from the 10th floor facade on E. 64th and First Avenue just after 10 p.m.

The bricks landed on a setback about ten stories from the ground. Witnesses said bricks could be seen strewn across the street.

No injuries have been reported at this time.

First Avenue between 59th and 64th streets has been closed to traffic.
