ORANGE COUNTY, N.Y. — Power was restored overnight after a massive power outage in Orange County left up to 52,000 people without electricity Saturday evening.

The power outage was caused by equipment failure at the Middletown Substation around 7:30 p.m., electric company Orange & Rockland confirmed.

People in western Orange County, parts of Sullivan and Pike counties were affected.

The entire city of Middletown just lost power during our set. This is the greatest night of my life. #RTSN
