Man shot inside Chinese restaurant in East Harlem

EAST HARLEM, Manhattan — Police are investigating a shooting inside of an East Harlem restaurant Saturday evening.

Police say the shooting happened around 5:30 p.m., at Empire Corner II on Fifth Avenue in between 115 and 116th streets.

Witnesses tell police they heard at least five gun shots in the restaurant.

The victim, 29, walked into an area hospital where his condition has declined. He is now having life-threatening issues, officials tell PIX11.

It's unknown if police have a suspect.

No other people were injured.
