Around noon, the suspect, 31-year-old Dominique Frazier, walked up to the 48-year-old inside the Strauss Houses and pulled her into a 17th floor stairwell, according to police.

Once inside, he allegedly forced her to perform a sex act on him before trying to rape her.  When she resisted, he grabbed her handbag and ran down the stairwell, police said.

Undeterred, the woman ran after her alleged attacker, and, with the help of another man, managed to get her handbag back before he fled into an elevator lobby.

EMS took the woman to Bellevue Hospital where she was treated and released.
