THE BRONX — A 2-year-old boy is expected to survive after he fell three stories from his family’s apartment window in the Bronx, authorities said Wednesday.

It happened about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 400 block of Brook Avenue, fire officials said.

The child, identified by his family as Da’Mir Holmes-Carter, was unconscious when he was found, fire officials said. He was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive, they added.

His family told PIX11 News he tumbled out of the window when the screen gave way. No bars were on the window, something the family says they’ve complained to their landlord about in the past.
