MANHATTAN — A 71-year-old Manhattan man has been arrested after police say he posed as a 31-year-old and exchanged sexually explicit text messages with a 13-year-old girl.

Authorities say Vincent T. Iannaco, of East 88th Street, met the teen through cell phone social media apps known as KiK messenger and Whisper.

Iannaco then allegedly began sexting the girl on Nov. 4 as he was posing as a younger man.

The girl’s parents discovered the messages and called police.

Iannaco is charged with disseminating indecent material to a minor and endangering the welfare of a child.

He will be arraigned on Sunday, Nov. 15, 2015 at First District Court in Hempstead.
