Man wanted for stealing $4,000 guitar from Guitar Center in Queens

LONG ISLAND CITY, Queens — Police are looking for a man who stole a custom Gibson guitar from a Guitar Center in Long Island City.

The man went into the Guitar Center on Oct. 18 around 4 p.m., officials said. He took the guitar, worth $4,650, from the display stand, hid it under his shirt, and walked out of the store.

The suspect is described as a man in his 30s, about 5-feet-10-inches tall and 165 pounds. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a two-tone gray long sleeve shirt over a black T-shirt with a chest design, blue jeans, black sneakers and glasses.
