Man, 36, shot in the head inside Brooklyn public housing complex: NYPD

WILLIAMSBURG, Brooklyn – A 36-year-old man is dead after he was shot in the head in a Brooklyn public housing complex, police said.

The New York Police Department  said officers responded to a call of a man shot inside the Taylor-Wythe houses, located on 626 Wythe Ave.

Upon arrival, they discovered Shaun West unconscious and unresponsive with a gunshot wound to his head, NYPD said.

West was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.

Initially, police identified the victim as Shaun Berry but since corrected the deceased's surname to West.
