NEW YORK — Prosecutors say two men have been arrested after authorities found more than 800 pounds of marijuana in a rented truck that was stopped after making an illegal turn near John F. Kennedy International Airport.

Dean Webb of Tampa, Florida and Michael Laico, of Houston, Texas, were arrested Wednesday on felony marijuana possession charges. Attorneys for the men did not immediately respond to messages seeking comment Thursday.

Prosecutors said the men were arrested Wednesday afternoon after officers spotted a rental truck Webb was driving change lanes without signaling.

Authorities say Webb allowed officers to open the back of the truck, where they found the packages of about 800 pounds of marijuana.

Police say Webb told investigators he was delivering the drugs to Laico. When Laico met the truck, he was also arrested.
