NEW YORK – The Empire State Building changed its colors to red, white and blue to honor America’s military heroes this evening.

The landmark edifice did it in observance of Veteran’s Day.

Earlier in the day, thousands gathered to support veterans marching through Fifth Avenue.

Additionally, many stores and restaurants took the occasion to offer discounts and free items to those who served in the U.S. Armed Forces.
