How to get the best Labor Day deals

Back to school laptops:  If you missed out on back to school computer deals, there are a few solid deals out there on tablets and laptops.

Best Buy has a great sale on Lenovo 2-in-1s (hybrid laptop/tablet) which start as low as $299, discounted by 50 bucks.

If you’re an HP fan they are having a massive sale on their laptops — as much as $600 off some models.

But if you’re looking for Apple products, you won’t find earth-shattering deals unless you’re looking for refurbished models. The company is expected to roll out the newest iPhone model this October so now is not the time to buy. Once the new model comes out, all the old models will see steep discounts.

Furniture/Appliances: Summer’s not quite over but you’ll find great deals on summer patio furniture through Labor Day. Retailers desperately wanna get rid of this stuff to make way for Fall inventory.

Ashley Furniture is offering 25% sitewide.

Sears is having an amazing 40% sale on appliances for Labor Day, plus free shipping on a lot of orders.

H.H. Gregg is also having a sale, up to 35% of furniture and appliances. You can also find 25% off home goods at Target.

At Lowe’s you’ll find 10-30% off sales on appliances.  And the good news is these deals don’t just end today (Labor Day) they’re running for almost another two weeks.

Clothes, makeup, accessories.

Target: 25% discount on select clothes, shoes and accessories. Plus, select home items are up to 25 percent off.

Kmart has some very generous deals on apparel and appliances, with discounts up to 30% off.

If you’re looking for some new jewelry, check out Kohl’s. They’re offering 20% off fine jewelry through the holiday. They’ve also got deals for 25-40% off lingerie. For every $10 you spend you get $10 Kohl’s Cash.

Gap has been struggling in sales throughout the year and that’s been good news for customers. Gap and Banana Republic are slashing prices by 40% on EVERYTHING (literally everything) in stores and online. Not to be outdone, sister company Old Navy has a sale going on with savings of up to 60% off.

The Children’s Place is also have a huge sale up to 60% off the entire store online.

Abercrombie: 40% off the entire site

Luxe brands: if you’re into higher end brands, now’s the time to find great deals on clearance. Neiman Marcus, Club Monaco, Anthropologie, Ralph Lauren all offering 40-60% off sale items.
