NEW YORK — A New York City man has been arrested on an attempted murder charge after police say he stabbed another man during an argument at the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan.

Port Authority Police Department spokesman Joe Pentangelo says it happened at 6:40 a.m. Sunday.

He says two men were in a confrontation in a bathroom of the bus terminal when 22-year-old Aazim Green stabbed the 47-year-old victim multiple times.

Officers who were nearby heard the argument and arrested Green on attempted murder, assault, weapons possession and other charges.

The victim, whose name was not released, underwent surgery Sunday afternoon. Police say he is stable condition.

It was not immediately clear whether Green had a lawyer who could comment on his behalf.
