CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn — Police are searching for a suspect they say choked a woman in Brooklyn last month.

The incident happened July 16 around 7 p.m., at the intersection of Pacific Street and Franklin Avenue in Crown Heights.

Police say the victim, 25, was approached by the suspect who asked her for sexual favors.

When the victim refused, the suspect began choking her before running away.

The woman did not lose consciousness during the attack.

A photo of the suspect has been released.

Police say he has a scar over one eye.
