Both Governor Cuomo and Mayor de Blasio have been trying to make reforms to housing laws in the city including building maintenance.

Will landlords and property manager repair buildings who desperately need it?— Kerri White, of the Urban Homesteading Assistance Board, and tenant Brian Marko stopped by to discuss more about New York City housing.

One of the management companies on the list is Icon Realty Management, which Marko is a tenant with.

The company issued this statement regarding their inclusion in the critical round-up:

"Icon is proud of our work partnering with thousands of New Yorkers to offer rent stabilized and market rate apartments. We are a home grown New York company dedicated to creating better places to live all across the City. We are looking forward to sitting down with Stabilize NYC and any other community group to talk about ways we can work even more collaboratively. The one tenant highlighted on WPIX is not representative of Icon's many tenants across the City."
