2 women groped at Belmont Lake State Park, police hunt for suspect

Belmont POI 100NORTH BABYLON, N.Y. — State Park Police are increasing surveillance around Belmont Lake State Park after a man allegedly groped two women on Monday.

The incident happened on two separate occasions, according to officials. Police have looked through surveillance cameras and identified a suspect that is about 5′ 6″, in his thirties with black spiky hair and medium sideburns.

On both incidents, the women were walking along a trail in the park when the the man grabbed their arm, according to CBS New York. He forcibly touched them. One was able to shake out of the grip when it happened to her.

More police are on patrol in the area to find the suspect. Stat Park Police ask to report any information on the suspect at 631-321-3741.
