FRANCE — A family realized they accidentally left their 3-year-old daughter at a rest stop in southern France after driving 90 miles away by listening to the radio.

The family was traveling to the coastal town of Saint Raphael in France on Sunday when they stopped at a rest stop, according to ABC News. The parents heard a radio message from the police asking them to turn around and pick up their daughter after driving for more than two hours.

The parents reportedly did not notice the 3-year-old was missing even after they asked their son and daughter if anything was wrong.

Local police said they will be talking to the prosecutor in Valence, the nearby French town, to see if further action should be taken.
