MELVILLE, N.Y – Huntington Animal Control found a three-foot long crocodile inside a cardboard box in a Melville parking lot.

The Huntington Animal Shelter received an anonymous call that a crocodile was in a box in a parking lot located at 25 Melville Park Rd. Tuesday.

The three-foot reptile was there, in an open-top cardboard box. Animal Control said the croc was “very aggressive,” and its mouth had to be taped shut.

The animal is now under the care of the Suffolk County SPCA. The SPCA are working with the New York Environmental Conservation Police to find out who left the crocodile there.
